Job Description

The CallMiner Development team is seeking a skilled, motivated SQL Developer | Database Administrator to join our growing engineering organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong development foundation and strong software skillset to accompany the database systems expertise. This position will work closely with the development and QA teams to continuously improve the design, performance, reliability, scalability, security and architecture of our product suite. The candidate should be passionate about data and enjoy exploring various new technologies, solutions and integrations to enhance the capabilities of the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Development Activities
    • Database design, planning and architectural meetings
    • Creating and modifying database objects
    • Troubleshooting of database issues
    • Query testing and optimization
    • Update scripting
  • Development Team Support Activities
    • DB Performance tuning
    • DB sizing
    • Plan for database upgrades and migrations
    • Development server administration and maintenance

Required Skillsets:

  • Database Security Knowledge
  • Communication and written skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Problem solving skills is a must
  • Database optimization knowledge
  • Experience troubleshooting capacity and performance issues
  • Provide thought leadership on data modeling and database infrastructure strategies

Desired Skillsets:

  • 3+ years delivering consumer software products as a DBA, preferably for an enterprise SAAS company
  • Proficiency in Mongo DB and/or other NoSQL technologies
  • Certification in SQL Server 2012 and above preferred
  • Certification in Azure or AWS
  • Experience in SQL encryption strategies
  • Experience in SSIS, SSAS & OLAP preferred
  • Experience in continuous integration techniques for SQL
  • Familiarity with requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment of applications as part of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
